I grew up in the hills of Missouri. After graduating from college, I was drafted and served my country. When I returned to St. Louis, I became a proud member of the St. Louis County Police Department, serving in the tactical operations unit, as an undercover narcotics and homicide detective, and in the intelligence bureaus. While working in an undercover capacity, I was able to infiltrate a group planning a violent bank robbery. The plot was successfully thwarted, and I was awarded the Missouri Police Officer of the year award. After 13 years, I left the St. Louis area and moved to Chicago, working with the Illinois Criminal Justice Authority. Now retired in Florida, I serve my local community and write for enjoyment and to draw attention to notable issues.
